Helen and I just returned from Lugansk, a city in Eastern Ukraine which has been known for its mining industry. I am starting my yearly circuit of the United Methodist churches in Ukraine to hold what is known in United Methodist lingo as the Charge Conference, or a yearly business meeting where reports of the previous years work of the local church are given and future plans are discussed.
